Police in Gyeonggi Province sought an arrest warrant for Park on Tuesday since he continues to deny the allegations and there are fears that he could flee the country.

Park, who is accused of taking crystal meth with a rich ex-girlfriend, told reporters on April 10 that he did not take drugs and also denied the charges under police questioning, where he appeared with a waxed body and dyed hair, apparently to confound the drug test kits.

But police took hair samples from his head and legs, and they came back positive from the National Forensics Service.

Park is accused of taking crystal meth with Hwang Hana (31), a granddaughter of the Namyang Dairy Products founder, who also dyed her hair before questioning.

The two announced marriage plans in April 2017 but broke up last year.

Hwang then ratted on Park, and police found plenty of evidence, including CCTV footage showing Park transferring hundreds of thousands of won to a suspected drug dealer and later collecting a suspicious package.

Park was questioned three times in recent weeks but claimed that he sent the money at Hwang's request and did not take the drugs himself.
