Popular Culture Artists Support Center Opens in Seoul

Korea's culture ministry launched a Popular Culture Artists Support Center in Seoul on Thursday.
Minister Choung Byoung-gug attended the opening ceremony congratulating the launching of the center that will be dedicated to supporting entertainers of all ages here in Korea given that entertainers are often prone to depression, legal battles, drug addiction and invasion of privacy.
The center will have programs aimed at helping and educating not only entertainers but their managers and trainers as well.
The ministry will run a pilot project until the end of this year before starting full operations next year.
