Pre-Orders for BTS' New Album Hit Record 4 Million

K-pop boy band BTS have set yet another record, this time topping 4 million pre-orders for their new album.

According to their agency Big Hit Entertainment, pre-orders for "Map of the Soul: 7", which began on Jan. 9, reached 4.02 million copies on Monday, the biggest pre-order volume ever for an album by a Korean act.

"Map of the Soul: 7" contains 20 tracks, including five hit songs from the band's previous album, "Map of the Soul: Persona".

The new album will be released worldwide on Friday.
