Princess Bari, a joint animation by Korea, China, and France, is complete

"Princess Bari", an Oriental fantasy animation produced by Mago21 (CEO: Lee, Jeong-Ho) and a joint investment of Korea, China, and France--the first in Korean animation history--has finally been completed.

"We have entered into a contract with SIP Animation in France involving an investment of about 600,000 Euros (KRW770M)", said Lee, Jeong-Ho, CEO of Mago21, at MIPCOM, Europe's largest TV contents bazaar, which was held in Cannes, France last October 8 to 12.

SIP is a major French animation production company whose shares are owned by Disney.

According to Lee, as SIP has a strong distribution network, it will definitely have a positive impact on Princess Bari's international distribution.

Based on Korea's folk legend, Baridegi, Princess Bari is a story about a princess who was abandoned by her parents but who travels to the underworld to find her own identity.

Princess Bari has received KRW400M in production funding from KOFIC and was cited as an excellent original work by SICAF SPP last year.
