Production launch of six creative animations including 'Balloon Toy Balluppo'

The Animation Production Studio run by KOCCA (Director Seo Byeongmun) has selected and has begun the production of six new animations for 2007.
The selected works are Ddokddak House, Beonggu and Charles, Call My Name, Byeri Dari Chichi Popo, Code Name Azumma, and Balloon Toy Balluppo, which are also special programs for television.
The selected works this year received better evaluation than last year's works, especially in their huge marketing potential and their in-depth characters. Lee Yongbae, the foreman of the jury and professor at the Kaywon School of Art and Design, said, "As this contest has been held for the past three years, many of the submitted works are projects that have been previously submitted more than two times.
Thus, the production teams have such a high passion for their work and commitment to quality that they submitted very competitive works".
He also revealed, "It is expected that this would contribute to the incubation of superior creative human resources, such as a new breed of talented animation directors, which are essential for the development of animation through the production of works in various formats, such as in 2D, 3D, and clay animation".
The selected works will receive full support from the animation production studio in terms of production cost, production space and equipment for a year.
