PSY Tops U.K. Music Charts

PSY became the first South Korean artist to conquer the U.K'.s music charts late Sunday.

The Official Charts Company in the U.K. announced that PSY's infectious tune, "Gangnam Style", had risen to the top of the charts in the country since it entered the listing's ranks six weeks ago.

Trailing behind PSY were the Script's "Hall of Fame" and Flo Rida's "I Cry".

The Official Charts Company said sales of PSY's single had rose 73 percent this week compared to a week ago, easily surpassing the Script and handing PSY the first South Korean K-pop song ever to top the U.K. charts.

PSY responded to the news by thanking his fans in the U.K. and expressed his wishes to visit the country soon.
