Pusan Appoints New Staff for Fest and Market

The Pusan International Film Festival(PIFF) has newly appointed programmers for its major sections and restructured management for the Asian Film Market. CHO Young Jung, formerly in charge of programming World Cinema will be selecting the Asian line-up this year in an effort to strengthen the program.

JEON Chan-il, a film critic, has been appointed programmer of the World Cinema - Flash Forward section. Regular programmers LEE Sang-young for Korean Cinema, HONG Hyo-sook for the Wide Angle, RHEE Soue-won for French and Italian cinema and PAK Do-sin for Midnight Passion section will remain.

In its fourth year now, the Asian Film Market has restructured its management. BOM Film Productions CEO, CHO Gwang-hee will be joining Asian Film Market as Deputy Director, and NAM Dong-chul, former chief editor of movie magazine Cine21 will take care of the market's operations as general manager starting this year.

Asian Film Market Director is LEE Yong-kwan who is also PIFF co-Festival Director will remain in office. This year's Asian Film Market will take place from Oct 11-14.
