Pusan pioneers an Asian film market

On October 4 and 5, Pusan will be the first to set up a pan-Asian cinema forum. The forum is organised by Busan Film Commission and Asian Film Commission Network (AFCNet). 37 representatives of 14 countriew will participate.

The forum is for coordinating various Asian-Pacific film markets in order to create a stronger Asian cinema market. The participants vary from governmental officials to film industry people.

Big Foot Entertainment (Philippines) and Hengdian World Studios (China) will present their new business models. Attending government officials include representatives from Japan, China, and Russian Federation.

A deal between Busan (Korea) and Sapporo (Japan) will be signed during the Asia-Pacific film policy forum. The MOU will include cooperation, co-production, and bilateral distribution of educational films.
