Pyeongchang Olympics Top CNN List of Things to Look Forward to

The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang topped a CNN list of 18 things to look forward to in 2018 on Thursday.

"Once every four years, the global powers of the world band together", the 24-hour news channel said.

Another sporting event, the World Cup in Russia, came fifth.

The list also includes U.K. Prince Harry's wedding in second and a flight to the moon in sixth.

CNN Travel also named Pyeongchang as one of the 18 best places to visit in 2018 in 13th place.

It urged visitors to try world-class beef, soju and K-pop and not to miss jjimjilbang or Korean saunas.
