Rain Chosen as Assistant Instructor at Army Boot Camp

K-pop superstar Rain, a.k.a. Jung Ji-hoon (29), was chosen as an assistant instructor at the 5th Infantry Division's Army boot camp, where he has been serving his mandatory military service since Oct. 11.

"Private Jung Ji-hoon volunteered to serve as an assistant instructor", a military officer confirmed, adding that such appointments are only handed out to outstanding rookies.

"Jung was finally chosen as an assistant instructor as he has shown great enthusiasm for tRaining and sets a good example for others in the barracks. He was also recognized as an outstanding tRainee in a comprehensive assessment", the officer added.

Rain will take up his new position from Wednesday, when he finishes basic tRaining.
