The MBC reality TV show "I Am a Singer" has led to a nationwide concert tour for some of the contestants, who had typically struggled for many years to land a concert date.
Jang Hye-jin will give her first solo concerts in 20 years, beginning in Seoul on Saturday. Lena Park, also known as Park Jung-hyun, and Kim Bum-soo, who became most popular through the show, are touring the nation too. Park will give a concert at Seongnam Arts Center in Gyeonggi Province on Oct.14-16. Almost sold out, her nationwide tour that started in May will end in Daejeon on Nov. 6, while Kim is touring 11 cities.
Yim Jae-beom, who became popular after appearing on "I Am a Singer" started a nationwide concert in June, and Yoon Do-hyun will start touring on Oct. 15.
Even BMK and Jung Yeop, who were voted off the show in the early stages, are giving solo concerts in Seoul on Sept.17-18 and Oct. 14-16, respectively.
