"Run On" is a romance drama in which people living in different worlds communicate in their own languages and 'run-on' towards love in an era when they have difficulty communicating even while using the same Korean language. It is directed by Lee Jae-hoon-II and written by Park Si-hyun-I.

The script reading was held at JTBC in July with director Lee Jae-hoon-II, writer Park Si-hyun-I, actors Im Si-wan, Shin Se-kyung, Choi Soo-young, Kang Tae-oh, Park Young-gyu, Cha Hwa-yeon, Lee Bong-ryeon, Ryu Abel, Seo Jae-hee, Yeon Je-wook, Choi Jae-hyun-I, Lee Jung-ha, Park Sung-joon, Park Sang-won-I, Na Ji-hoon, Kim Yong-ho-II, Seo Jin-won, Lee Joo-won-I, Kim Dong-young, Kim Si-eun-II, Lee Shin-ki, Kim Jung-ho and others.

Director Lee Jae-hoon-I started off by saying, "I'm going to film all the actors here telling the truth and listening to one another. I hope to do my best so that everyone feels like they've worked with great people until the end".

Im Si-wan, who returns as Ki Seon-gyeom, a track and field athlete who is selfless and born with many things, was straight and sincere, and his serious appearance was more three-dimensional in his calm and stable acting tone, including his gentle eyes, expression, gentle voice, and gentlemanly behavior. Shin Se-kyung, the 'queen of rom-coms' broke down into Oh Mi-joo, a movie translator who gives off an honest and simple charm. As if she had already mastered all the trends, she added natural acting and ad-libs needed at the right time.

Choi Soo-young played the role of Seo Dan-ah, the heir of Seomyung Group. Despite her overflowing composure, the character with firm determination was combined with the cool charm of Choi Soo-young. Kang Tae-oh's handsome face was filled with kindness. He is expected to play the role of an art student named Lee Yeong-hwa with good manners.

Park Young-gyu and Cha Hwa-yeon, play Ki Seon-gyeom's father Ki Jeong-do and his mother Yook Ji-woo. Lee Bong-ryeon plays Mi-joo's senior Park Mae-yi, pairing up with Shin Se-kyung to reveal the atmosphere of the scene. Ryu Abel, who boasts a variety of character digestion skills, plays the role of Ki Eun-bi, a warm older sister who becomes infinitely weaker in front of her younger brother Seon-gyeom, and Seo Jae-hee and Yeon Je-wook each take on the roles of Dong-kyeong and Jeong Ji-hyeon to work with Dan-ah to complete the Seo Dan-ah line.

"Run On" was put on hold in August when one of its staff contacted another drama staff suspected of being infected with COVID-19. Fortunately, no one was infected at the time, but on September 27th, about a month later, when one of the production team was confirmed to have contracted COVID-19, all actors and staff, including Im Si-wan, Shin Se-kyung and Lee Bong-ryeon, were tested in isolation. Since then, filming has fortunately resumed as all of them have been tested negative and no additional infections have been reported, but this time, another confirmed case has occurred in the apartment where the main actor Lim Si-wan lives and he has been tested once again as a precaution.

The new JTBC drama "Run On" will premiere in December.
