Ryu Si-won Claims Second Win at Ferrari Challenge

Actor Ryu Si-won won the second round of the Ferrari Challenge Series in Shanghai on Sunday to claim his second successive victory in the race.

Ryoo, the first Korean to record a victory in the series, both manages and races for Korea's EXR Team 106. He first proved unbeatable in the opening round held at Zhuhai in China's Guangdong Province last month.

The atmosphere in Shanghai was highly charged and expectant of another roaring performance from Ryoo, who raced home to the cheers of hundreds of his Chinese fans, many holding placards bearing his name.

"Taking part in the Ferrari Challenge was a terrific experience, and I am personally very happy to be collecting back-to-back titles", he said. "I would like to send my thanks out to all those Chinese fans who came to the airport and the racing venue to support me despite the scorching hot weather".

The Ferrari Challenge Series, which is taking place in the Asia-Pacific region for the first time, will stay in Shanghai to complete its third stage before the drivers move on to Sepang, Malaysia. It will conclude in Europe in November.
