"Saimdang: Light's Diary" to broadcast in January 2017

Sources say that the SBS drama "Saimdang: Light's Diary" will broadcast in January next year.

The drama was initially thought to be seen on weekends but that changed to Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Therefore, "Saimdang: Light's Diary" will have higher viewing percentage as it's played on a weekday which guarantees more viewers. The drama also comes after Jun Ji-hyun and Lee Min-ho's "The Legend of the Blue Sea".

"Saimdang: Light's Diary" is a retold story of Saimdang Shin from the Joseon times. Lee Young-ae plays two roles: Seo Ji-yoon, a university professor and Saimdang. Song Seung-heon plays Lee Gyeom who only has eyes for Saimdang ever since the first day he laid eyes on her.
