Samsung TVs Takes Up Half of the Market Share in the Middle East and Africa

Samsung Electronics has taken up nearly half of the market share of flat screen televisions in the Middle East and Africa.
According to a Samsung market survey released on Sunday, sales of its flat screen TVs now account for 49-percent of the region's market in the second quarter.
Sales of the Samsung product have climbed 35-percent in the first half of this year from a year earlier.
The company said large-sized TVs have been especially popular as they have established a strong foothold in the premium market.
Meanwhile, the Korean tech giant has also snatched the top spot in the Middle East smartphone market.
