Se7en, Park Yong-ha Receive Award at Japan Gold Disc Award

Korean singers Se7en and Park Yong-ha each received an award at the Japan Gold Disc Award on Thursday evening.

Se7en's agency YG Entertainment said that it had been told by the host organization that Se7en would receive a special award given to mark the Year of Korea-Japan Friendship. At the ceremony, Se7en sang his second single "Style".

Singer and actor Park Yong-ha also received a special award given to mark the Year of Korea-Japan Friendship and for the "Song of the Year".

The Japan Gold Disc Award is hosted by the Japan Record Association and sponsored by Japan's Cultural Administration and Music Copyright Association to award artists and works that contribute to the record industry based on record sales.

The ceremony was broadcast on NHK's BS2 channel at 7:30 p.m. and will be aired on NHK on March 17 at 12:25 a.m.
