As the venues are all outdoors, people can bring their children or pets and enjoy a picnic while they watch a movie. Ha Jin-wook, head of the organizing committee, described the festival as a cinematic celebration for Seoul residents.

The program includes 45 films, many of which either focus on life in the big city or ways to escape from it.

Special versions of recent hit movies like "The Thieves" and "Leafie, A Hen Into The Wild" featuring subtitles and voiceovers will be screened for the convenience of the visually and hearing impaired.

Critically acclaimed foreign films like "Midnight in Paris" and "Searching for Sugar Man" will also be shown.
