The annual Seoul International Youth Film Festival returns this week for a week-long run at Lotte Cinema Piccadily in Seoul.
Now in its 12th year, the SIYFF is renowned for showing a wide range of coming-of-age films, family movies and original works by teenage directors.
The event kicks off with an opening ceremony at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
A total of 134 movies from 39 countries will be screened at this year's festival. Of them, 21 films directed by teenagers will be presented in the Stimulating View 1 section.
The festival will be opened by Dutch family fantasy "Eep!", which won the Grand Prix prize at the 2010 Montreal International Children's Film Festival in March.
A youth film camp will be held on the sidelines of the SIYFF, bringing together 100 teenage aspiring filmmakers from 13 countries.
