"She is ULTIMATE... What is her name"

U.S. actor and singer Simon Curtis has been deeply indulged in Choi Soo-young, a member of the nine-member Girls' Generation, a top K-pop group.

Last Saturday, Curtis linked his twitter account (https://twitter.com/simoncurtis) to YouTube which contains the video image of Girls' Generation who appeared on CBS' Late Show with David Letterman.

"The member I like most is black-haired lady appearing into the 41st second of the video", he said, asking who she is. "Now I can bravely shout that I am indulged in Choi Soo-young", he said, when a follower told her name on the twitter. "She is the ULTIMATE". He asked again whether Choi Soo-young has her twitter account. When receiving the answer, No, he missed it, saying, "I'm an ardent fan of Choi Soo-young".

Curtis did not stop his favor to Choi Soo-young. On Sunday, a fan of Girls' Generation posted characters, "Choi Soo-young is my favorite member of Girls' Generation, next to Sunny". He strongly favored Choi Soo-young, saying, "Choi Soo-young has hair flips. Choi Soo-young beat (Sunny)". Curtis was pleased with the composite photo of Curtis and Choi Soo-young a follower posted, and said, "I am surprised".

Earlier, Daniel Radcliffe, starring in films of the Harry Porter series, also expressed his fever toward Girls' Generation. He appeared in preview of ABC's talk show, LIVE! With Kelly, on Jan. 31.

"I have a CD of Girls' Generation", Radcliffe reacted when host Kelly Ripa said, "There has been a shower of twitter comments from fans across the world to the LIVE! With Kelly thanks to the appearance of Girls' Generation".

미국의 배우 겸 가수 사이먼 커티스가 그룹 소녀시대 멤버 수영에게 푹 빠졌다.

커티스는 4일(이하 한국시간) 자신의 트위터(https://twitter.com/simoncurtis)에 소녀시대가 미국 CBS 토크쇼 '데이비드 레너맨쇼' 무대에 선 영상을 담은 유튜브를 링크시켰다.

그는 "내가 제일 좋아하는 멤버는 동영상의 41초 부분에 나오는 검은 머리의 여성이다"며 "그의 이름이 무엇인가?"라고 물었다. 한 팔로워가 트위터를 통해 수영이라고 가르쳐주자 "이제 내가 수영에게 빠져있다고 당당히 외칠 수 있겠다"며 "그는 최고다(She is the ULTIMATE)"라고 말했다. 커티스는 이어 "수영은 트위터 계정을 갖고 있나?"라고 재차 질문했고 "없다"는 답변이 돌아오자 "난 수영의 열성 팬이 돼 가고 있는데"라며 아쉬움을 표했다.

커티스의 수영 사랑은 멈추지 않았다. 5일 트위터에 한 소녀시대 팬이 "수영은 내가 써니 다음으로 좋아하는 소녀시대 멤버다"란 글을 게재하자 커티스는 "수영에겐 '헤어 플립'(머리를 젖히는 동작)이 있다. 수영이 (써니를) 이겼다"고 수영에 대한 지지를 고수했다. 한 팔로워가 커티스와 수영을 합성한 사진(사진)을 올린 것에 대해 그는 "놀랍다"며 기뻐하는 모습을 보이기도 했다.

이보다 앞서 영화 '해리 포터' 시리즈의 주연 배우 대니얼 래드클리프도 소녀시대에 호감을 표한 바 있다. 그는 31일 방송된 미국 ABC 토크쇼 '라이브 위드 켈리(LIVE! with Kelly)'의 예고 방송에 출연했다. 당시 진행자 켈리 리파가 "소녀시대의 출연으로 인해 '라이브 위드 켈리'에 전 세계 팬들로부터 트위터 멘션이 쏟아지고 있다"고 말하자 래드클리프는 "나도 소녀시대 CD를 가지고 있다"고 밝혔다.

래드클리프의 소녀시대 CD는 자신이 주연을 맡은 영화 '우먼 인 블랙(The Woman in Black)'의 영국 런던 프리미어 시사회 현장에서 한국 스태프에게 받은 것으로 전해졌다. 그가 티파니와 태연을 가장 예쁜 멤버로 지목했다는 후문도 함께 알려졌다.

소녀시대는 1일 '데이비드 레터맨쇼'에 게스트로 출연했다. 소녀시대는 밴드 버전으로 편곡한 '더 보이즈(The Boys)'무대를 선보였다. 같은 날 방송된 '라이브 위드 켈리'에서 '더 보이즈'공연 후 인터뷰 시간을 가졌다.

3일 미국 전자제품 판매스토어 '베스트 바이(BEST BUY)'의 음반 매장에서 열린 첫 번째 사인회엔 1,300여 명의 팬이 모였다. 미국 스케줄을 마친 소녀시대는 5일 오전 귀국했다.
