Showcase for Talented Digital Filmmakers in Seoul

The Cinema Digital Seoul (CinDi) will be a platform for innovative and diverse Asian digital filmmakers to showcase their films to the world. The film festival recognizes the inventiveness and influence of the digital medium which also had a great impact on the development of the cinema of less affluent countries. The festival's inauguration will take place from July 20 until the 27th at CGV Apgujeong.

The festival's spirit is reflected in its competition section where any kind of digital film is welcome and the decision to only include first, second or third works of directors.

The director of the digital project "Camel(s)" PARK Ki-yong and JEONG Seong-il will co-direct the festival. PARK is the executive director of the Korean Academy of Film Arts, a division of KOFIC. JEONG is a film critic who has festival experience as a festival programmer for the Jeonju Film Festival.

A network across Asia has been set-up to find promising digital filmmakers for CinDi. The group includes several influential people in the Asian film festival circuit.

The festival's funding is provided by the CJ Culture Foundation and the Korean Culture & Arts Foundation.
