Actress Song Hye-kyo is attending the state banquet in China on an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping.

OSEN reports that Song Hye-kyo left for China on the 13th and the banquet is being held on the 14th with president Moon Jae-in and Chinese head-of-state.

President Moon also headed for China on the same day for 3 nights and 4 days. This visit will be a watershed for improving relations between Korea and China.

Song Hye-kyo appeared at the Incheon International Airport to depart for China. This was her first sighting since her marriage to Song Joong-ki on the 31st of October. While she's in China, she's going to make appearances at the Amore Pacific event in Beijing, China.

Meanwhile, Song Hye-kyo grew into a bigger Hallyu star when the hit KBS drama "Descendants of the Sun" was broadcast in China. She is quite famous in China and it is anticipated that she will contribute directly or indirectly to strengthening the friendship of both countries.
