Song Seung-hwan Set to Go Global with B-Boy Korea

PMC Production CEO Song Seung-hwan will promote his new production "B-Boy Korea" both in Korea and abroad.

The announcement regarding the "B-Boy Korea" production was made November 14 at the B-Boy Korea Theater in Seoul.

PMC Production, which also produced the non-verbal performance "nanta", produced "B-Boy Korea" in a joint effort with the country's best breakdancers. The production brings together traditional music and dance, and features a storyline.

Song said he decided to launch the production because public interest in b-boys has been on the rise recently and dancers' skills have improved significantly, resulting in the emergence of big b-boy stars. He added that the production was a new endeavor featuring traditional music.

Song also said that he decided to produce a non-verbal performance because the language barrier was the biggest obstacle in promoting the production overseas. As a non-verbal performance, "B-Boy Korea" will likely arouse interest in foreign audiences through its dance and storyline as well as the enjoyment of cultural fusion.

The production will be staged November 25 through January 31 at the B-Boy Theater.
