According to the Korean Film Council, "Spellbound", released on December 1st, gathered 58,983 audiences on the first day, coming in second to "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1", which gathered 92,222 audiences.

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1" was released in 520 theaters while "Spellbound" was released in 396.

The "Twilight" series has a good fan base in Korea as well and has maintained the top spot ever since its release on November 30th. However, considering the fact that only the first week is usually busy for sequels, "Spellbound" isn't doing a bad job.

"Spellbound" is about the relationship between Yeo-ri (Son Ye-jin), who sees ghosts, and horror magician Jo-goo (Lee Min-ki).
