Lee Yool had fallen in love with the daughter of the head of the palace guards. The daughter was 28 and unmarried Hong Sim.

Lee Yool's father caused a riot and Hong Sim's father was framed for treason, leading to the wipe out of her whole family. Lee Yool's mother passed away and the two remained ill-fated.

Lee Yool's father sat in the throne and Lee Yool became a prince, but he grew up to complain about everything.

For health reasons, he'd been refusing to sleep together with his queen, but his subjects emphasized on the harmony of Yin and Yang. So Lee Yool ordered all unmarried women in the eight provinces to be married to miners.

Unfortunately, Hong Sim was also an unmarried woman. With the continued enforcement of marriage, Hong Sim yelled, "I have a husband. There's a man named Won Deuk in the other village and we promised to get married a long time ago". Hong Sim had grown up to be bright and energetic like she used to be.

Meanwhile, there was an attempt to poison Lee Yool and he ordered his bodyguard Dong Joo (Do Ji-han) to start investigating. The likely person behind the attempt was the Queen. However, it was only assumption and Lee Yool needed evidence to prove it.

As a result, Lee Yool found the girl who was ordered to poison him. However, she was killed before he could get a name. While tracking down the poison, Lee Yool and Hong Sim seemed to reunite at the end of the episode.
