Choi Won-young prepared a birthday event for Shim Yi-young.

MBC weekend drama "A Hundred Year's Inheritance" showed Cheol-gyu (Choi Won-young) forgetting about Hong-joo's (Shim Yi-young) birthday and preparing a small event for her.

Cheol-gyu knew it was Hong-joo's birthday but he ran to Chae-won (Eugene) when he learnt that Joo-ri (Yoon Ah-jung) and Se-yoon (Lee Jung-jin) broke off their engagement because of her.

He then remembered he had forgotten Hong-joo's birthday and asked her out to celebrate.

She followed him without expecting anything. However, she smiled at his sweet side. He bought cake from a store and blew a balloon for her on the spot. It was very sudden but she was happy as she had never been congratulated by a family member like this before.

The next day, Hong-joo showed off the balloon to her dog and displayed her growing fondness for Cheol-gyu.
