On the thirty-fourth episode of the MBC weekend drama "A Hundred Year's Inheritance", Bang Yeong-ja (Park Won-sook) found out that her daughter-in-law Ma Hong-joo's (Shim Yi-young) parents were divorced and that she was the child of another man.

She changed completely and blamed Hong-joo saying, "This is a fraud. I heard your mother gave birth to you with another man. How dare a nothing like you pretend to be a high class family daughter?" She had nothing to fear of her daughter-in-law anymore.

Ma Hong-joo questioned her actions. Bang Yeong-jae retorted back, "I've just been scammed into this marriage so I have every right to". Kim Cheol-gyu carefully said, "It wasn't a scam, I knew about it" but his mother yelled at him for trying to cover her up.

In the end, Ma Hong-joo left the house saying, "I'm sorry I'm a disappointment to your plans to make some money off me. How dare would I stand against you. If you want to sell your son like this make sure you find out who your daughter-in-law is before you get them married".
