On the latest episode of the SBS drama "Defendant", Park Jeong-woo (Ji Sung) paid back Cha Min-ho (Uhm Ki-joon) with an eye for an eye.

Jeong-woo had been bullied by Cha Min-ho a countless number of times so he got his prosecutor friend Choi Dae-hong (Park Ho-san) to arrange a meeting with Min-ho. Jeong-woo used his fatherly love for his daughter Park Ha-yeon (Shin Rin-ah) on Min-ho. Jeong-woo used the fact that Cha Eun-soo, Na Yeon-hee (Uhm Hyun-kyung) and Cha Seon-ho's (Uhm Ki-joon) son was Min-ho's blood relative and that he would have Sin Cheol-sik (Jo Jae-yun) kill him.

Min-ho was intimidated with Jeong-woo's attack and tried to negotiate with him; Ha-yeon for the knife which was the ultimate proof. However, it didn't work. Jeong-woo refused to make a deal and told him he would find Ha-yeon. Then he got Sin Cheol-sik on the phone to prove that he was with Yeon-hee and Eun-soo.

Min-ho shook with rage for an hour and in the end, let Ha-yeon go. Seo Eun-hye (Kwon Yuri) and Yoon Tae-soo (Kang Sung-min) found Ha-yeon and reunited with her in tears. Jeong-woo also saw Ha-yeon. It was a touching moment for them.

Jeong-woo then took Ha-yeon to the prosecutors. He had the knife that stabbed his wife Yoon Ji-soo (Son Yeo-eun) to death as evidence to put Cha Min-ho in jail. He said, "My daughter is alive. I surrender myself to prove my innocence".
