Ta Hwan (Ji Chang-wook) and Ki Seung-nyang plotted a scheme to bring down Yeon-cheol (Jeon Gook-hwan). They wanted him to know that Baek Ahn (Kim Young-ho) was trying to attack him and make him raise an army.

However, before he could do that Tanasili (Baek Jin-hee) demanded the punishment of Ki Seung-nyang. The Queen Mother (Kim Seo-hyung) ordered her to be sent to the other castle. Actually, this was a request by Ki Seung-nyang. She had told her, "Even if Yeon-cheol brings a bloody war along the Imperial Palace, the castle will act as a fortress".

Ta Hwan allowed Ki Seung-nyang to go there. He told her, "I'm sorry. My heart breaks at the thought of you going somewhere so cold and shaking". However, Ki Seung-nyang said, "My Lord, even though General Baek Ahn fights with his sword, we must fight with our hearts. We have to be bold and courageous to dominate Yeon Cheol".

Ki Seung-nyang suffered in the other castle. Ta Hwan visited her. He was worried about Ki Seung-nyang. She told him he shouldn't be there yet, but Ta Hwan said he was going to spend the night with her and then he hugged her cold body. Afterwards, she cried at his comforting words.
