Eun-joo appeared in front of them saying, "I will pay you back everything you've given to me".

According to autopsy reports on Kevin Lee (Ko Jun), the case could be handed over to prosecution depending on how the police handle it and Tae-wook decided he would help. He suggested she go with him to his law school association party where a law a valuable acquaintence would be. She hesitated and he said, "We should at least pretend to be friendly with him. I will make sure that you won't be pushed out of News 9".

Hye-ran worried because he didn't his suggestion, but he said, "It's our problem. There are no principles for me if I can't even protect my wife. I won't let anyone hurt you". They both went to the party and met the acquaintence, a broadcasting company director. Tae-wook introduced himself as the prosecutor who was responsible for the director's son's charges on drugs and told him, "Please stand by and watch over anchor Ko Hye-ran". He used his identity as the only son of a family that professions in law for Ko Hye-ran's disposition.

However, who would help them was not the police or the prosecution. It was Eun-joo. She had found Hye-ran's black box chip in Kevin Lee's jacket while going through his things. The black box chip had information about Hye-ran's whereabouts on the day of the accident and it could become critical evidence. She called Hye-ran and Tae-wook and said, "It's my turn. I'll pay you back everything you gave me, Hye-ran".
