On the May 29th episode of KBS 2TV's Friday miniseries, 'Orange Marmalade', Baek Ma-ri (Kim Seolhyun) revealed she was a vampire.

When Baek Ma-ri had gone missing, Baek Ma-ri's mom called Jeong Jaemin (Yeo Jin-goo) to ask if he knew where she was. Jeong Jaemin believed Baek Ma-ri might be in the lighthouse and was headed to the place. The two met there.
Jeong Jaemin asked Baek Ma-ri if it's true that she was a vampire. Baek Ma-ri affirmed she was a vampire without hesitation. Jeong Jaemin exploded with anger he was holding. He said, "Was it this easy".
Jeong Jaemin yelled, "What is this. Why can't you say no. If you say no, I'll believe you. I'll believe you no matter what other people would say about you". Baek Ma-ri calmly confirmed "I am. I'm one of them, a vampire you hate so much".
Baek Ma-ri said, "I wanted to shine on someone. I wanted to become a shining light once" and "I was not allowed to come closer to you. I'm sorry I like you". The heartwrenching words saddened Jeong Jaemin.
