On the December 8th episode of SBS Monday & Tuesday drama, 'Six Flying Dragons', King Woo and Choi Yeong (Jeon Gook-hwan) ordered Yi Seonggye (Cheon Ho-jin) to carry out Liaodong Expedition

Jeong Do-jeon (Kim Myung-min) requested that Yi Bang-won (Yoo Ah-in) should begin a coup. However, Yi Seonggye could not go against the king's order and commenced the expedition. All of Yi Seonggye's blood related kin in Gaegyeong and Seogyeong were house-confined, which added more tension to the family's crisis.

Yi Seonggye's army also faced inevitable predicament due to plaque and flooded Aprok river. There were a lot of casualties due to the raised water level of the river and the epidemic disease that cost many soldier's lives. Some exhausted soldiers deserted the camp.

Yi Seonggye recalled Jeong Do-jeon's words, "Protect the land and the people with spears to form a family". He prioritized his people over his own family and finally announced "We'll not cross the Aprok river".
