Yi Bang-won (Yoo Ah-in)'s Sunggyunkwan alumni, Heo Gang had already become Yi Seong-gye's people under his new name, Lee Sin-jeok. Heo Gang later covered Boon-yi's eyes, who came from Hamjoo, and took her into a forest. He grabbed Jeong Do-jeon's wooden doll from her neck and interrogated her about it. He said, "We have a tip that spies in Hamjoo are stealing information. Isn't this the token of the organization?".

Boon-yi notices there's something fishy going on and said, "I don't think I'm being investigated. It seems that I'm being tested for something. I'll risk my life for the fact that you also have the same doll around your neck".

Boon-yi found the same necklace from Heo Gang and said, "Tell him Boon-yi is here and ask him to keep his promise" and "I'm passing over the secret message. Close down the base and come to Hamjoo to become Yi Seong-gye (Cheon Ho-jin)'s people". Heo Gang told Boon-yi, "Welcome to Hamjoo".
