On the 45th episode of MBC's Monday & Tuesday drama, "Splendid Politics", Princess Jeongmyeong Kim Ja-jeom (Jo Min-ki) confronted with each other strongly after Crown Prince Sohyeon (Baek Sung-hyun)'s death.

The status of the country was being driven into a chaos after Crown Prince Sohyeon was poisoned to death by Kim Ja-jeom and Lady So Yong-jo (Kim Min-seo).

Although King Injo showed tears at his son's death, he could not even punish Kim Ja-jeom and Lady So Yong-jo because it would make everybody suspect himself. Therefore, Kim Ja-jeom grabbed the leading power in the situation.

A discussion to select a new Crown Prince began. Kim Ja-jeom wanted to appoint Lady So Yong-jo's son, whom he could influence in all decision making.

Princess Jeongmyeong started persuading Crown Prince Sohyeon's younger brother, Grand Prince Bong-rim to become Crown Prince.

While Kim Ja-jeom blocked King Injo's all the possible measures to meet his subjects, Princess Jeongmyeong could meet King Injo outside the palace through her elaborate secret plan. Injo came back to the palace from the secret meeting announced he appointed Grand Prince Bongrim as Crown Prince.
