On the thirty-second episode of the MBC drama "The Horse Healer", Baek Gwang-hyeon (Cho Seung-woo) attempted to carry out the treatment that killed Ko Joo-man (Lee Soon-jae).

Baek Gwang-hyeon planned to return to Chosun with a Royal letter from the emperor after curing the Empress (Lee Hee-jin) with his master Saam (Joo Jin-mo). With the license of a substitute medical practitioner, Baek Gwang-hyeon started treatment on the Empress who was suffering from bad ankles and others like her.

One of the patients he treated had tetanus. Baek Gwang-hyeon talked to himself and fell into despair. However, he gathered all the information he collected for 3 years and tired to save the patient. He faced the trauma that killed Ko Joo-man but he didn't cower and stood against it.

Baek Gwang-hyeon said, "The patient can live if I cut off the necrotic skin. I won't lose again. I won't fail again". He cut out the blackened dead skin of the patient.
