[Spoiler] 'The King's Face' Seo In-guk and Jo Yoon-hee share teary farewell kiss

Seo In-guk's efforts to reform resulted in having him surrounded by enemies. On the 9th episode of KBS2 drama, "The King's Face", which aired on December 17th, it showed Gwang Hae (Seo In-guk) driven into a corner by Noblewoman Lady Kim (Kim Gyu-ri), who took an advantage of the last moment of Sook-yong (Ji Seo-yoon).

Gwang Hae accomplished emancipation of slaves by using a log listing all the corruption committed by ministries. But the freed slaves had hard time to lead their lives independently. And also his accomplishment caused jealousy by Seonjo (Lee Sung-jae).

In the meanwhile, as Sook-yong passed away, Lady Kim tried to take an advantage of her death. She spread a rumor Queen Uiin (Im Ji-eun) poisoned Sook-yong. To make things worse, she tried to obtain the problematic log from Gwang Hae.

Contrary to Gwang Hae's belief that Seonjo would trust Queen Uiin as he did, Seonjo said, "In case Queen Uiin would be proved to be the culprit, I am not going to forgive her" and confined her.

Do-chi who was monitoring the situation said, "We should not have used the log that way. We put our only backing support at risk because of it. The only way left is to wed the third daughter of Yoo Ja-sin to win the backing support".

This made Ga-hee decide to leave Gwang Hae. Ga-hee said, "It's all my fault. What you need now is strong backing support. Please wed the daughter". Ga-hee said farewell to Gwang Hae who expressed his emotion in shock. The ending scene showed these two sharing a teary kiss and raised curiosity as to how the story will unfold in the next episode.
