With the first face-lift of the popular model in about four years, the carmakers hope to capitalize on the ever-growing demand for small SUVs.

It comes with a relatively affordable price tag of between W16.78 million and W23.55 million, targeting young customers who are considering buying their first car. (US$1=W1,184)

Small SUVs have become hugely popular in recent years with annual sales soaring from about 9,000 in 2013 to 150,000 last year. To benefit from this trend, automakers are rushing to reinforce their lineups in the segment.

Hyundai and its affiliate Kia also plan to launch a series of new small SUVs next month.
