"Sunny" Attracts 1 Mil. Movie-Goers in A Week

"Sunny", a brand new film by director Lee Jun-ik, which opened in theaters nationwide on July 23, has attracted more than one million movie-goers as of July 29.

According to film distributor Show Box, the film, which is currently playing in 500 theaters nationwide, attracted 294,953 movie goers and 961,389 movie goers nationwide as of July 28. The number exceeded the one million mark the following day on July 29.

The film is leading Korea's box office sales this summer with 'The Good, the Bad, the Weird' which has so far attracted four million movie-goers.
"Sunny" is the story of a woman (played by actress Soo Ae who travels to war-torn Vietnam in search of her husband.
