Netflix will unveil its new drama "Sweet Home" on the 18th. The work depicts the bizarre and shocking story of a reclusive, loner high school student, Hyeon-soo, in an apartment where he moves into after losing his family. It is based on a popular webtoon of the same name that has accumulated 1.2 billion views.

"Sweet Home" will be directed by director Lee Eung-bok, who created tvN's "Mr. Sunshine", "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" and KBS2's "Descendants of the Sun" while it's being written by three rookie writers, Hong So-ri, Kim Hyung-min-II and Park So-jung-I. Director Lee Eung-bok mixed the tragic situation of a human being becoming a monster in an isolated space, the psychological change of people watching it, and the intense struggle with the monster. His ambition is to open a new horizon for the genre of 'creature' (a work of monsters eating or killing people) and once again promote the status of K-content to the world.

"Sweet Home" boasts a spectacular cast. Song Kang plays Hyeon-soo, a reclusive loner, and brings out a new charm. Lee Jin-uk, who has been active in romance and genre, adds tension to the drama by breaking down into Pyeon Sang-wook, who makes Green Home residents uncomfortable with his harsh impression and tone. Lee Si-young is transformed into Seo I-kyeong, a former firefighter from a special forces unit who is not in the original webtoon, and will perform spectacular action. In addition, next-generation stars such as Lee Do-hyun, Kim Nam-hee-I, Go Min-si, Park Gyu-young and Go Youn-jung, as well as veteran actors such as Kim Kap-soo and Kim Sang-ho will appear.

The monster that is born from the desire of an individual is a key element of the "Sweet Home". Director Lee Eung-bok put his heart and soul into showing the living creatures of each character. It has gathered domestic and foreign professional teams that have attracted positive responses with spectacular special effects such as the "Avengers" series and "Avatar", as well as Netflix original series "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" and "Mr. Sunshine". Domestic and foreign choreographers participate in the design of the monsters' movements to make more vivid movements.
