"Taxi Driver" Replaces Writer Due to Conflict

The writer of "Taxi Driver" has been replaced due to differences of opinion.

SBS drama "Taxi Driver" said on the 17th, "There was conflict between the writer and the director on the direction of the work, so writer Oh Sang-ho dropped out under mutual agreement and writer Lee Ji-hyeon-II is going to complete writing the remaining episodes".

Based on the webtoon of the same name, "Taxi Driver" is about a taxi company Rainbow Transportations and taxi driver Kim Do-ki (Lee Je-hoon) completing revenge on behalf of unjust victims.

"Taxi Driver" taxi has been embroiled in controversy over allegations of school violence and bullying by actress Lee Naeun, who was selected as the main actress even before the first broadcast. Since then, the drama replaced her with actress Pyo Ye-jin, but the drama remained controversial as a series of cruel and violent scenes emerged.

"Taxi Driver" which also sparked controversy over the main character Lee Je-hoon's stand-in at the beginning of the play, has been gaining popularity with a 16% viewer rating since the first broadcast on the 9th of last month.

Amid growing concerns that the replacement of the writer could also reduce the completion of the drama during the its airing, attention is focusing on whether "Taxi Driver" will be able to continue its good flow for the rest of the broadcast.
