PRODUCTION NOTE
Sequel to South Korea's 2006 Box Office Success "Tazza: The High Rollers"
Gambling saga "Tazza: The High Rollers", with a whopping 6.85 million box office admissions in 2006, returns with the sequel "Tazza: The Hidden Card". Based on the wildly popular South Korean comic series Tajja (written and illustrated by HEO Yeong-man), "Tazza: The Hidden Card" is based on the second volume Tazza Hand of God.

The legendary comic series and movie was so well-received in South Korea that it was also made into a television series in 2008 titled "Tazza", starring renown actors Jang Hyuk, Han Ye-seul, and Kim Min-joon. The story of Tazza proved to be extremely popular to television viewers as well.

This highly anticipated film sequel is directed by none other than Kang Hyeong-cheol ("Speedy Scandal", "Sunny - 2010"). Kang's first two films have been the highest grossing Korean films of their respective years both being in the top 15 highest Korean films.

Legendary Director Kang Hyeong-cheol Adapts "Tazza: The Hidden Card" With His Unique 'Dramedic" Sensibilities
After his previous two successful films "Speedy Scandal" (2008) and "Sunny - 2010" (2011), which placed him as the master of the comedy-drama genre, Kang gladly took on the challenge of directing "Tazza: The Hidden Card". Unlike his past two films, "Tazza: The Hidden Card" is much darker with a combination of film noir, action, drama, romance, and comedy.

"Well before my directorial debut, I was a huge fan of director Choi Dong-hoon's "Tazza: The High Rollers"", said Kang, "I wanted to direct the sequel by not only staying true to the source material but also adding my own unique style and perspective to the story.
