The 2005 Jeon Ju Citizen Film & Video Festival raises its curtain

The 2005 Jeon Ju Citizen Film & Video Festival, which screens cinemas produced by citizens at firsthand, raised its curtain on Mar. 21.

Following the Festival's opening ceremony at 7:30 in the evening on Mar. 21, the Festival started with its opening film 'The Bad Utterances' by filmmaker Jo Beom-goo.

'The Bad Utterances', which was already screened at the 1st CJ Asia Indi Film Festival and the 9th Pusan International Film Festival, has following synopsis: Ik-soo who is a high school student and Jong-tae and Duck-pal who go around collecting money are 19 years old.

One day, Jong-Tae, Dul-Pal and Ik-Soo go on a group blind date. That night, while three of them party with the girls, Ik-soo's mother is run over and killed by a car. On board were Hyun-jin and loan shark Sun-Il. Ik-soo tries to start a new life with the insurance payment.

This year's screening cinemas are a total of 58 films and independent cinema 20 films and 38 independent cinemas from Seoul, Pusan, France and Japan took part in the Film Festival. This Film Festival is continued till Mar. 26..
