The BBC's "Korea: Out of the North", a documentary on North Korean defectors produced by The Chosun Ilbo, was shortlisted among contenders for the Best of the Year: Documentary by BBC World News.
On Tuesday the Chosun Ilbo's documentary on North Korean defectors was selected as one of the BBC World News' six finalists. BBC and BBC World News will rerun those documentaries at the end of the year. BBC World News initially selected 12 documentaries aired in 2008 through its Viewers' Committee, then whittled the choice down to six via a worldwide televised and online vote.
