"The Host" Most Popular Korean Film in Singapore

"The Host" has become the most popular Korean movie ever in Singapore by ranking second at the country's box office on Sept. 7, the first weekend after its release there, the movie's producer Chungeorahm Film said on Tuesday.

The Hollywood comic film "Little Man" topped the box office for the same week, and "Monster House" took third place.

Before "The Host", "Whispering Corridors" and "Taegukgi - Brotherhood of War" had been the two most popular Korean movies, in that order.

Meanwhile, "The Host" dropped three notches to 10th at the Japanese box office for the second week after its release on Sept. 2.
