The New York Film Festival to invite director Hong Sang-soo again

The New York Film Festival, which invited 'Woman is the future of man' directed by Hong Sang-soo last year, invites again his new production 'Keuk Jang Jeon(Tale of Cinema)' to its Film Festival, scheduled to be held in this fall.

'Keuk Jang Jeon(Tale of Cinema)' directed by Hong Sang-soo, which made inroads into the 58th Cannes Film Festival this year, was assessed to be the best among his cinemas by the New York Film Festival side.

This cinema, in which director Hong is assessed to show the most popular sentiment, humor and diction among all successive his cinemas, is to be released at home on May 26. This film's actors include Uhm Ji-won (The young girl and the actress), Lee Ki-woo(The boy), and Kim Sang-kyung (The man).

Last year's 42nd New York Film Festival, presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and sponsored by Diet Coke, HSBC Bank USA, and The New York Times, ran from October 1 through October 17, 2004, at Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center.
