"The Outlaws" Director Kang Yoon-sung's Working on "Long Live the King"

Director Kang Yoon-Sung from "The Outlaws" is coming back with "Long Live the King", a movie based on an original web-toon.

According to sources, "Long Live the King" is about a gangster who becomes a politician and makes changes to the country.

Kang Yoon-Sung aims to begin filming within the year.

Kang Yoon-Sung released his first commercial movie "The Outlaws" in 17 years and it was a huge success, drawing in over 6.87 million audience members and making him one of the most awaited to directors in Chungmuro or Korean film. Ma Dong-seok became a top actor thanks to this movie and Yoon Kye-sang had his first success in 13 years. Jin Sun-kyu won the Best Supporting Actor at the Blue Dragon Awards and other actors Kim Sung-kyu, Ha Jun and Hong Ki-joon have also had a taste of the movie's success. Kang Yoon-Sung was awarded the Best Rookie Director at the 37th Young Pyoung Awards.
