The reason why Moon Sook returned to showbiz after 38 years

2017/10/10 | 693 views | Permalink | Source

Moon Sook returned to showbiz for the first time in thirty-eight years.

Moon Sook was one of the best actresses during her time after her debut in 1974. However, she left acting and spent time abroad.

After thirty-eight years, she's coming back with the movie "Beauty Inside". The movie's leading lady, Han Hyo-joo, is one reason behind Moon Sook's return. Han Hyo-joo mentioned in a magazine that she read about Moon Sook somewhere and was deeply touched by her story. Han Hyo-joo suggested Moon Sook for the role of Woo-jin's mother and the older actress accepted Han Hyo-joo's sincere request.

During a press conference, Moon Sook said, "I was away too long and I didn't know how things worked these days. I wasn't sure, but Han Hyo-joo gave me strength and was my personal manager.

Meanwhile, Moon Sook also starred in the KBS 1 Chuseok Special, "Let's Live Together".
