The Seoul Net Festival - Online Film Festival - of the 7th Seoul Film Festival launches on May 15

The online screening for the 7th Seoul Film Festival, previously called Seoul Net & Film Festival (SeNeF), is to be launched on May 15.

Now in its seventh year, SeNeF operates two kinds of festivals: Seoul Net Festival, an Internet-based film festival, and Seoul Film Festival, its offline counterpart.

The screening for the offline film festival starts on Sept. 8 in Jongro, Seoul, and both the online and the offline film festivals end on Sept. 17. The Mobile & DMB Fest is to be held from Sept. 8 to 30.
This year's SeNeF is planned to offer films that have greater popular appeal.

"Aside from original and creative films that have shown a strong presence at the festival in previous years, we have now extended the number of films in various genres like soccer, Bollywood, horror, and eroticism, which may have a great appeal to the public", said Lee, Kang-Wook, programmer of the festival.

SeNeF's website ( http://www.senef.net ) will screen a total of 137 films from 22 countries.
Showcased in Digital Express, the international competition section of the festival, are 56 films including Can You Go Through?, a notably creative animation, A Perfect Snapper Dish, a film about snapper dishes, and A Day Out, a story about sexual harassment in the military.

In Next Stream, the domestic competition section, the audience will be treated to 33 films including such titles as un_com_for_table, Epistle, The Blue Grass Bird.

Meanwhile, a total of 48 films will be invited to the noncompetition section called Perspective Eye, which will be screened in six programs: Interactive Advertising Special Screening, Viva Soccer, Family Theatre, DigiTraffic@India, Tulse Luper's Journey, and Sleepless Nights in SeNeF.
