Thousands Come Out to Meet Lee Young-ae in Japan

Some 3,000 Japanese fans came out to see one of the Korean Wave's top stars, Lee Young-ae, on Tuesday. "Korea's Sayuri Yoshinaga, the beautiful Lee Young-ae, held her first fan meeting in Japan at Tokyo's Shibuya NHK Hall", the Sankei Sports newspaper reported.

In part to promote the drama that she appeared in "Dae Jang Geum (A Jewel in the Palace)", which is now showing on Japan's NHK television, the actress traveled to Japan where she wooed fans over once again with her great looks and fine grace, that led to her being praised as the "Korean Sayuri Yoshinaga". Sayuri Yoshinaga is a popular actress who despite turning 61 this year has managed to maintain her uniquely graceful appearance.

Lee said in an interview with a reporter on the scene that she admired the animated films of Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki. When asked about her ideal type, the actress added, "I'd like to choose someone who never stops thinking about me".
