Three actresses sentenced

Lee Seung-yeon, Park Si-yeon and Jang Mi-in-nae who were accused of illegally using the sleeping drug propofol were sentenced to eight months of labor and two years of probation. The Seoul Central Court also charged Jang Mi-in-nae with 5.5 million won, Lee Seung-yeon with 4 million won and Park Si-yeon with 3.7 million plus extra charges. It looks like this will affect their celebrity life greatly.

The department of justice claims, "The co-defendants showed dependency on the drug even before it was appointed a medical supply. Their crime is heavy as they are people who affect the public and they even changed their story which means they do not reflect on what they have done". The weight of offense was favored for the fact that they don't have a previous conviction. Lee Seung-yeon apologized to the press as she was coming out but the other two kept their mouths firmly shut.

They managed to avoid imprisonment but according to the guilt of their crime, their careers as celebrities will be greatly affected. The three ground-wave broadcasting stations have ordered ban on them ever since their charges were acknowledged. The KBS consideration department claimed, "A debate will take place regarding the three actresses". SBS claimed, "As long as they are guilty, they are banned from SBS without procedure". Park Si-yeon had already finished filming the movie "The Last Knights" so what's to happen will be looked upon.
