Three Korean short-length films: invitation to the Bangkok International Film Festival

While 'Oldboy's competition part invitation to the Bangkok International Film Festival was fixed among Korean full-length movies, three Korean short-length films take part in the Film Festival additionally.

Three invitation films are animation 'I want to invite you', documentary 'Taxi driver', and 'On the day' and three movies all are screened in the 'Asia's short-length' part. The three Korean short films' story is as follows:

I WANT TO INVITE YOU, directed by KIM A-YOUNG: A womans life seems to end since her husband died early and everything changed into unhappiness. Meanwhile, her mother in law who also is a widdow tells her not to expose skins from clothes. A driver in pink comes, which is differ from that he used to be, in funeral ceremony. She keeps on staying in a space of her own with not knowing anywhere beyond the space. One day, somebody knocks the door. When her hands are about to reach to it, door opens itself.

ON THE DAY, directed by JO SU-JIN: The fertilization occurs when an ovum and a sperm meets. The cell divides and then implants on the uterine wall. Sometimes later the heartbeat begins and the embryo gradually takes a concrete shape.

TAXI DRIVER, directed by YANG, YOUNG-CHUL: Aman in his 30 s drivers a taxi. One day he lets an elderly gentleman in his taxi at the airport. The gentlemans destination is noting but the out-of-the way place where he lives. As the destination is getting closer, He is getting to know who the gentleman is and getting confused. When he arrives, he looks already furious enough to kill the gentleman. So he changes the course and takes the gentleman somewhere along an uphill path to kill the gentleman.
